About Cartnapped

Cartnapped started with a simple frustration: deal sites full of "discounts" that were never really discounted, prices nobody verified, and junk you'd never actually buy. So we built the deal site we wanted to use — one where every single deal is checked by a human on the live page before it goes up.

We cover the stuff people actually buy: toys and games, tech and electronics, and home and kitchen upgrades.

How we verify

1. Open the live page. Every deal starts with us opening the actual retailer product page or the live Marketplace listing — not a feed snippet, not a cached copy.
2. Confirm the price and the math. We check the sale price, the list/reference price, and compute the discount ourselves. If the "was" price looks inflated or fictional, the deal dies here.
3. Check availability. In stock, selectable options, real shipping or pickup terms. If you can't actually buy it at that price, we don't post it.
4. Write honest context. One to two sentences of price context (what it normally costs, why this is good) and our own take — including the catches we spot.
5. Timestamp it. Every deal shows exactly when it was verified, so you know how fresh the price is. Prices change; we don't pretend they don't.
6. Re-verify before reposting. Anything carried over to a new day gets rechecked on the live page first.

A note on reference prices

Retailers like Woot show a "reference price" — their stated comparison figure, not necessarily the lowest price ever or a universal market value. We label it honestly as a list/reference price and never claim "lowest ever" without separate price-history evidence.
